About BPC-157

BPC-157 (Body Protection Compound 157) is a pentadecapeptide with the sequence Gly-Glu-Pro-Pro-Pro-Gly-Lys-Pro-Ala-Asp-Asp-Ala-Gly-Leu-Val, derived from a protein found in human gastric juice. It was described in the 1990s by Predrag Sikirić’s group at the University of Zagreb.

It has been the subject of more than a hundred preclinical publications, mainly in animal and cell models, on angiogenesis (VEGF pathway), the nitric-oxide system and tendon and muscle tissue. It is unusually stable in acidic conditions for a bioactive peptide.

OXpeptides supplies it as a freeze-dried powder in a sealed glass vial, for in-vitro research only.
